Deborah Bonham Cutting Room Review

New Yoik’s Lisa Seckler review of Deborah Bonham at the Cutting Room:

“I’ve been waiting since 2003 for DEBORAH BONHAM to hit American shores. The buzz started back then, filtering through the Zeppelin fan sites that John’s little sister was starting to do UK and European shows.I’ve been following her here on FB, not only for her music, but for the animal rescue work she does.
Carol Miller did a terrific interview with her last night on Facebook, which only built my anticipation.
I witnessed history be made tonight at The Cutting Room, in that 200 plus people sat absolutely GOBSMACKED AT THE SHEER BRILLIANCE that’s Deborah Bonham and her band.
The band is made up of Paul Roger’s touring band, and I’m finding it difficult to even find the words to describe how AMAZING THEY ALL WERE..
From the moment they hit the stage, it was a firestorm of bluesy, meaty, incredible original material. Every time one song ended, I found myself thinking “ it can’t get better than that.”
BUT IT DID.
It kept gathering steam.
Deborah prowled the stage, dancing barefoot, seducing the crowd with one of the most INCREDIBLY exciting voices I’ve EVER heard. I refuse to compare her to anyone. HER VOICE WAS BORN FOR BLUES AND ROCK.
Feel So Alive,Painbirds,  are amazing songs, but…
Old Hyde was written about the loss of John and her father, and living at the farm that John built.
No Angel had the crowd on it’s feet, Deborah  had everyone eating out of her hand.PERIOD.
YOU MISSED HISTORY BEING MADE.
DO NOT MISS DEBORAH BONHAM. EVER.”
